WordPress Support

WordPress help,
when you need it

Something broken, something to change, or just stuck? Get a WordPress expert on it, with no lock-in and no ongoing commitment. Help when you need it, and nothing when you do not.

What we help with

A safe pair of hands for your website

No job too small, and no problem too odd. If it is to do with your WordPress site, we can almost certainly help, without you needing to sign up to anything.

Most of what businesses ask us about falls into a handful of buckets: something has broken and needs fixing, something needs changing or adding, or something started behaving oddly after an update. Whatever it is, you get a real WordPress expert looking at it, not a script, a chatbot, or a ticket sitting in a queue.

And if you are not sure whether it is even a job for us, just ask. Often a quick look and a straight answer is all you need, and we are happy to point you in the right direction either way.

Fix what is broken

Errors, broken pages, a blank white screen, a form that has stopped working. We track down the cause and put it right.

Make a change

New page, updated content, fresh images, a price or detail that needs changing. We handle the updates you would rather not.

Design tweaks

Small adjustments to how things look: spacing, colours, a layout that is not sitting right. The little fixes that bug you.

Plugin and update issues

An update that broke something, plugins clashing, things behaving strangely. We sort out the conflicts and get it stable.

Urgent fixes

Site down, hacked, or showing something it should not? We will jump on the urgent ones and get you back online.

Advice and a second opinion

Not sure how to do something, or whether a quote you have been given is fair? Ask us. Sometimes a quick answer is all you need.

How it works

Simple, and no strings attached

There is no plan to join and no sign-up to wade through. You reach out when you need a hand, and you only pay for the time it takes. We track our time and send transparent reports along with any invoice, so you know exactly what was done, how long it took, and what you’re paying for. Our clients find the transparency refreshing!

Why it works

Help when you need it, and nothing when you do not

Not every business wants to be tied to a monthly plan, and not every site needs constant attention. On-demand support is the simplest way to get an expert hand: you reach out when something comes up, and that is the only time it costs you anything.

Pay for what you use, nothing else.

There is no retainer to keep topped up and no bundle of hours quietly expiring whether you use them or not. You pay for the time a job actually takes, and nothing in the months where you do not need us at all.

For a lot of businesses that is exactly the right shape. Your site mostly ticks along fine, and once in a while something needs doing. Support lets you get that handled properly without signing up to a cost you might never use.

A safe pair of hands.

WordPress is forgiving right up until it is not. A wrong move in the wrong file, a plugin update that clashes, an edit that takes the whole site down. The quickest way to turn a small problem into an expensive one is to guess at it.

We have spent over twenty years working on WordPress sites, so we look for the actual cause rather than poke at symptoms. You get someone who has almost certainly seen your problem before, and who can fix it without breaking three other things on the way past.

We work on sites we did not build.

Most of the sites we support were built by someone else, sometimes years ago, sometimes by a developer who has long since moved on. That is completely normal, and not a problem at all.

We start by understanding how your site is actually put together, then work from there. You do not need the original developer, the original files, or any history with us. You just need something done.

You know what is involved before we start.

Nobody likes a surprise invoice. Before we touch anything, we take a look, tell you plainly what is going on, and give you an honest idea of what the job will take. If there is a simpler or cheaper way to get where you want, we will say so.

That means no jargon, no scope creeping out of nowhere, and no bill that turns up larger than you expected. You decide whether to go ahead with the full picture in front of you.

WordPress maintenance and hosting

Or have it all handled for you

Support is help one job at a time, with no ongoing commitment. Some businesses would rather not think about their website at all, and for them a care plan is the better fit: we look after everything continuously, so problems are caught before they ever reach you.

Plenty of businesses use both, a care plan for the routine looking-after and ad-hoc support for the bigger one-off jobs. Tell us how hands-on you want to be and we will point you the right way.

Updates, handled

WordPress core, plugins and themes kept current and compatible on a schedule, so nothing quietly drifts out of date.

Security and backups

Monitoring, hardening and regular backups running in the background, so a bad day is never a disaster.

Fast managed hosting

Fast, WordPress-tuned servers in Sydney, fully looked after, if you would like your site to live with us too.

One experienced team

Design, build, hosting, care and support from one Sydney studio with over twenty years behind it, part of the Jimmyweb Group. We help businesses in Sydney and right across Australia.

Questions, answered

The things businesses usually ask us about WordPress support.

Just about anything to do with your WordPress site: fixing something broken, making content or design changes, sorting out plugin and update issues, dealing with urgent problems like a site that is down, or simply answering a question. If you are not sure whether we can help, just ask.

No. That is the whole point of support. There is no plan to join and no ongoing commitment. You reach out when you need a hand, we help, and that is that. If you would rather it all be handled for you continuously, that is what a care plan is for.

Simply get in touch and tell us what is going on. We take a look, tell you plainly what is involved, and give you an idea of what it will take before we start. Then we sort it out. No sign-up, no fuss.

Yes, all the time. Most of the sites we support were built by someone else. We start by understanding how yours is put together, then help from there. You do not need to have built it with us.

Get in touch and let us know it is urgent. A site that is down or compromised is exactly the sort of thing we will prioritise, so we can get you back online and figure out what went wrong. Keeping a site protected in the first place is one of the things a care plan is built for.

We keep it simple. For ad-hoc support you pay for the time the job takes, with no ongoing commitment. We will always give you an idea of what is involved before we start, so there are no surprises on the bill.

It depends on how hands-on you want to be. If you are comfortable running your own site and just want help now and then, support is perfect. If you would rather updates, backups, security and monitoring were all handled for you so you never have to think about it, a care plan is the better fit. We are happy to advise.

It depends on the job and how urgent it is. We will let you know our timing when you get in touch, and we treat genuine emergencies, like a site that is down, as a priority.

We are a Sydney team, but we support WordPress sites for businesses right across Australia. You do not need to be local to work with us. See the areas we work in.

Stuck? Let's unstick it.

Tell us what is going on with your WordPress site and we will take a look. No plan to join, no pressure, just a straight answer and a hand when you need one.
