What is a content management system?

 

A content management system (CMS) is an environment that allows you to update, add and remove pages from within your website with ease. (CMS) is accessed on a secure part of your website and requires a username and password to logon.

 

You can have different levels of access providing larger organisations with the ability to allocate parts of the website to others for on going maintenance. The advantage with (CMS) is that you do not need to be a programmer, have a degree or in fact any qualification to use it.
